Looking to buy a 09 Corolla from a private seller for $5k. The seller is willing to negotiate $100-200 but that’s it. Took it for an inspection and my mechanic said it would need about $2500 worth of work to fix up. This includes tires and brakes being the most immediate. I’m a student and won’t be working much due to school. I’ll be driving 60ish miles everyday for the next 2-3 years. Is this car worth it?
