Captur Battery
I have a Captur 2020 tce iconic and it's not using the stop start and started throwing occasional unrelated warning lights that then disappear and this is often symptoms of battery going (and it's still on its original battery) so I figured I'd get one and do it myself however Renault have not made it easy. In the manual it gives you no spec just contact a Renault dealer if the battery needs replacing... So checking the battery itself I've got that I need EFB 60ah 640a but no size on the thing so I think I need an 027 size according to a few different places and the captur forum but could do with that confirming.
Also there's a lot of plastic covers on the Captur battery so I figured I'd just watch a YouTube video so I didn't break any catches in my removal... And nothing, no guides for any Captur after the old model that ended 2019. Am I missing something? Is it going to cause serious electrical issues if I DIY it? Somewhere mentioned a new battery killed the infotainment system on the captur forum and someone else needed the key cards re programmed.
Just be aware this is not the first car battery I've changed and replaced an EFB battery when I had a Citroen cactus so I know it's usually an easy job but the lack of info concerns me. So has anyone successfully done it themselves here before?
TLDR Has anyone changed their own battery in a Captur 2 successfully?
