Classical Ensemble for Recording
Howdy, 40m here and just moved into the city last year. I recently started taking cello lessons again after putting it down for about a decade, and although I’m no aficionado, I’d like to put together some type of ensemble for a recording project.
I have a handful of original instrumental songs I’d like to orchestrate for a live band recording session and/ or performance. I have made a few recording studio connects out here and have an idea of how I’d like the songs to sound - just need that live feeling and experienced musicians. I have always wanted to make a record that sounds like this Do Make Say Think album:

Also super inspired by that reverberant “wall-of-sound” production as heard on Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds / The Ronettes. I also really enjoy the production on that first Vampire Weekend album. On the other side of the spectrum, I’m into the strings work from artists like Bjork, Aphex Twin, Phillip Glass, and dare I say Radiohead… anyway, if anyone’s interested in making some classically inspired tunes or recording some songs, hit me up!
