Sorry if this has been asked before.
Since we do have beam weapons in SC, would an alternative to the ADF-01 Falken (or other similar aircraft) from the Ace Combat series be a cool idea for a fighter (probably heavy) in game? A ship that maybe has a few missiles and some smaller secondary guns, but its main party piece is a small beam weapon?
As an example: Could be short bursts with a fast recharge rate. Not really too much damage to large targets because of the lack of sustained damage. More so to swat at medium and small ships.
What do you guys think? Would this work in SC?
