I bought the paid plan on TradingView just to access bar replays and backtest strategies without paper trading live to avoid the wait. I kid you not, 4 trades in a row, all losses. And not even crazy RR's, rather 1:1.5 or 1:2 and it never seems to go in my direction.

I happen to be a contract software dev. I am also a google certified "Ai Professional". I built a bunch of python bots, I learnt PineScript to code on tradingview, and the best strategy I could come up with was a 22% year. Not bad. But not great either. And that is considered an outlier since everything else was negative or in profit by 2%.

I just don't understand how you make money. Maybe the gurus and youtubers are simply lying on how easy it really is to make money trading. Box strategy. Support resistance. Trendlines. I investigated those all and can't seem to find that "edge".

I want to get into prop firms but until I actually prove to myself that I can actually make money I don't want to pick up any challenge or trade again since I lost enough already.

What is your strategy? How do you take your trades?

Thanks
