Is this a good method for cycling a 5 Gallon tank with established filter media? Have an established 55 gallon filter leaned against my filter intake, a small cutting of their established sponge inside my filter, and a few stones from their tank sitting in mine. Been ghost feeding.
Bought chola wood from Amazon and some of it has some kind of small moss on it. Can I leave it, or should I scrape it off? What kind is it if it’s something that will grow and carpet?
This was originally satire, I’m just bored waiting for my plants to come which it desperately needs for some color but now I have legitimate thins I want advice for now on the comments 🤣
I have my tank and substrate prepared, but I am going to be probably another week or so before I get my plants for the tank. Would there be any negative effects if I filled it up now and let the filter clean out any cloudiness or debris from the substrate then drain it the day the plants come?
