So the law enforcement academy here in Florida is ran by colleges. I have the BAC done and have the PAT scheduled. What their instructions are is to have the application submitted when the Pat is scheduled. I called the director like instructed for about a month and a half no answer. Went to the public safety building in person to get answers and was turn away because I didn’t have an appointment. And behold the website that has the instructions literally says you will turned away. It also states that’s the same person to call to get an appointment. Called the college again got someone and told them I was displeased. They got him on the phone and he says the deadline was a week ago and I would now have to wait till August then next year for the academy after already waiting months. I told him this is on him for no communication and there should be an exception. He said too bad and if I have any more questions. Called the sheriffs office because they have a grant for me but I have to have a seat in the academy and omg they said they have nothing to do with the academy and can’t control anything. Is there anyway to file a complaint because the college said their public safety building for the law enforcement and fire school is not technically part of them so they can’t do anything.
