Finished Faith of Beasts a couple of days ago and have been thinking about the livesuits and how the deathless enemy has been around longer than humans according to the Carryx records. And the question of is there someone directing the suits or are they operating on autonomously and using the organisms they have access to at any given time period.

This made me think of the scramblers from Blindsight and the idea of subconscious intelligence. The suit chasing Campar moving kinda like a starfish/ squid made me think of the scramblers too. Anyone else think of Blindsight?
