Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster.

My partner is getting me a quest 3 for my 40th in 3 weeks. My first venture into VR was borrowing by brothers Index and playing on my old build (Ryzen 3 3100, 16GB 3200 DDR4, GTX 970), thereafter, I had a Dell Visor, then a Rift S but returned it (this was all when the FB BS that Meta played was a thing).

Things have changed now, I've upgraded my machine, it's now an R5 5600, same RAM, Sapphire 6700. I've abandoned Windows because it's crap and moved to Ubuntu, I've already got WiVRn up and running ready, all dependencies for VR to run properly on Linux, here's hoping it works first time.

I already have WD S&S, Escape Simulator, played some of my brother's library VR games like Boneworks and Arizona Sunshine.

I'll be getting Into The Radius because I love slow, post apocalypse, decayed dead zones, reclaimed by nature style games. I'll let ITR2 bake for a while before I get that, but co-op would be amazing.

I'll be playing wireless, it should be fine, I have a UniFi 16port 150W PoE switch, PC is LANd into it, and UniFi U6 Pro AP, so I'm hoping that's enough for solid, stable wireless play, but its Linux so there may or may not be caveats or compatibility issues.

What are people's experiences with wireless play on your setups?, anybody playing Quest 3 with Linux?, anybody know any good horror games (VR native or UEVR) that could scratch the abandoned/ horror itch?

Thank you all 👍🏻
