Ableton 12.4 is broken and can't be used with Push 2
I've been using Ableton and the Push 2 for years. I was on 12.3, and the Push 2 worked without any issues. After updating to Ableton 12.4 there is an issue with the Push 2 interface. With a clip selected in Session view on the Push, pressing Note changes what the pads do, but the LED's are stuck in Session view. Sometimes you can see the sequencer lights come on. So it becomes a mix of Session and Note.
I have tried reinstalling, clearing device manager, unplugging all my monitors, even going back to Ableton 12.3, the problem persists.
I just updated a friends laptop from 12.3 to 12.4 and verified that the Push 2 stops working correctly when the update is installed. Just as it did on my desktop and my laptop.
I have contacted support about this issue. Deleting the preference file in Appdata didn't help. Clearing ghost devices in device manager didn't help. Slowing down the memory on my machine didn't help. There is something wrong with the 12.4 install.
Most of my tracks are in 12.4, so doing a purge of Ableton and a 12.3 install doesn't do me much good, since i won't be able to get to any of my songs.
tldr, Ableton 12.4 is broken and can't be used with Push 2.
Data point: I do have 2 push 2's and have swapped them on the desk top and laptop. This wasn't an issue when running Ableton 12.3.
