my new pro pen 2 is bad quality

my old pen i've had for 5 years got eaten by a dog. I ordered a new one, got it two days ago and noticed immediately that things where not the same. It works fine, but the soft rubber of the grip attracts dust like crazy and the cast lines are very prominent. it looks light gray, donno if it's toxic factory powder or dust or both but looks bad. I now have two tube holsters, the old pen has a very satisfying smooth glide to it and the way it slows down and then closes is the best part. the new case feels like metal scraping. no resistance like the old one.. Idk what they have done, but it doesn't feel like the money i spent on it.
anyone else had this experience?
