There's specific circumstances here:

I travel a lot for work, probably 4 - 6 x 3 hr journeys a week, often more. All over the country, easily over 12k miles a year by car.

I get paid travel days and paid milage (45p/mile) which helps.

I recently wondered whether long distance motorbike driving would be more interesting, and if the cost of bike training/license, a decent enough bike for motorway (assume 400cc+) would be a worthwhile investment.

Obviously cheaper fuel and maybe parking wise. But the main thing is I get bored on long drives. Do people rate motorbikes on long distance, or are cars just more comfortable?
