In Hush, Batman finds the electronic relay because he reminds himself of the first rule of detective work that nothing is random, so that implies that the sword was placed there deliberately by Talia or Ra’s but how would they know about the relay?

It seems to me that it was a coincidence, which kinda sucks that Batman was able to solve the main part of the “How” of the case on pure coincidence.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding.
