Did anyone attend this yesterday? I wasn’t able to and Teams, Zoom, etc was not an option.
I’ve had ET since my 20’s and I’m 54. I’m on 240mg of propranolol and it does help but I’m still shaky. It takes two hands to use my beard trimmer, shaving is out of the question, printing, typing can be hard, holding a glass, etc. I’m tired of it.
The questions I have are if anyone has had any side effects after doing the focused ultra sound. That’s my only concern.
Columbus has OSU and Ohio Health that does the procedure. Ohio Health has done less than 100. OSU I’m not sure. Ohio Health told me they can only do one a month because of limited MRI machines.

It is an opportunity to meet patients that have gone through either the Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery or High Intensive Focused Ultra Sound. They are the panel that will inform you about the surgery or the procedure; they are there to answer any questions you may have. You will get to see the batteries and the leads for the DBS we have information for you. This gives you the chance to ask as many questions as you may have about either one.
