unfortunately, future popes apparently ignored this ruling, and insisted that the church continuing to ordain men was "irreformable", despite no pope in history ever declaring that a policy ex cathedra

keep in mind that even the Catholic Church themselves recognize Mary Magdalene as an "apostle to the apostles", and that there were other female apostles in the New Testament such as Priscilla, Junia, and Phoebe, so this fact along with their claim that only men were chosen or are called to ordained ministry ex opere operato is self-contradictory
