Just sharing a recent experience
I've been on vinted for a bit less than a year now but i don't have any super crazy activity, a few sales of some collectible stuff and even fewer purchases. And first time i had to deal with someone like this.
So as i've said i have some collectible stuff and you know since they are collectables the value of them doesn't go down by much (esp if they are in like new condition). And also im open to some reasonable offers.
and that person goes like this:
- I'm interested in this item but new costs x amount but you don't have the original box, so the value drops. I currently have x amount plus vinted fees and shipping so it goes to around half the original price amount for you
- max i can offer
- if you live in x area we could arrange it in person for x price (basically the total they would pay on vinted with all the fees)
- just tell me about it so i'll keep the money on my vinted balance
~ all that within less than one hour and i didn't even see it until quite later ~
After seeing the message spam i'm like yeah i can't deal with that right now.
a few hours later (because i appeared online for barely a minute) they go:
- So you wanna sell something and you leave it on read. (in a quite aggressive manner in my language)
- wow first time seeing this
Due to various personal reasons i'm not active on vinted these days but if i made a sale i would honor it. But i don't feel like dealing with this person at all.
