According to Pearl Abyss, this was unintentionally altered while fixing a clipping bug, and that the original appearance will be restored in the next patch. Whether it's a genuine bug or backpedaling from the censorship backlash, we may never know. However, if DEI had been involved it is clearly beaten back once again.

Good work everyone who raised awareness, posted negative reviews, etc. We raged so unreasonably and so drastically that the devs addressed the issue within a day.

This film was a real LOVE LETTER to Spider-Man fans all over the world. It balanced nostalgia, emotion, and fan service in a way few superhero movies ever have.
