Hi guys I just wanted to make a post about one of my biggest achievements. I was able to purchase my first car and it’s a 2017 bmw 650i convertible! I’ve always wanted a 6 series because my dad used to have one and I decided on the convertible because my mom always wanted one.
Before anyone tells me I made a mistake because of the n63, yes I do know they’re maintenance heavy and still have issues. Even with having the n63tu I purchased a warranty that lasts 5 years or 60k more miles.
Vehicle info - vehicle has 61k miles. The only wear is on the seat that’s it. It seems like the car was taken care of really well. The carfax shows no accident but does have damage reported front bumper. I assume maybe they hit a dear idk.
Price - ik a lot of people might not give out prices but that’s not me. The vehicle price was listed for 27,250 and I was able to get it for 26,250. I understand it might be a lil high but options on a car really can be a deal breaker for me but this had everything I needed. The only things missing is night vision and active seats. This is my first car loan. After tax and the warranty which was 3500, OTD the price was 34,000. I put down 10k and was approved at 9 percent with no cosigner. The monthly payment comes down to 440 with a 72 month term. I plan to pay the car off within 2 years.
Questions - how should I take care of the convertible top looks wise and mechanically. Yes the car is garage kept.
Should I buy the 0w-30 fcp euro kit or put something thicker
Edit - this is literally the most negative subreddit I have seen in my life 🤷♂️
