Don't really know why, but taping the opposite strafe while jumping gives more speed than just dashing and jumping forward. Can't really tell if that's real or just placebo since I'm so used to source engine movement.

EDIT:
It's not placebo. Normally while "dash hopping" without strafing, the game will limit your velocity when you dash and jump. Strafing seems to partially negate this resulting in a higher maximum velocity.

You can bind scroll wheel to dash. The UI doesn't close when you scroll down but it will save the input if you hit escape to close the settings.
