Hello,
I'm a beginner and need new shoes. I figured I'd better invest in quality shoes given my weight (125kg for 212cm) and ankle problems. I prefer to run in the woods / on trail tracks but I want a pair that I won't fear destroying on asphalt because I don't want to invest in two pairs for now.

Two pairs I came accross :
Hoka Challenger 8 : seems like it has wide positive feedback as good hybrids and durable on asphalt / pavement. It is high and has a lot of cushioning which is good given my weight.
Saucony ride tr2 : not as much quantitative reviews and feedback but still positive. Lower and less cushioning. The front is wider and generally has more ground feel, I feel more safe about my ankles but I may totally be wrong.

Any advice and feedback? Any other pair recommandation for my case ? Thanks
