I am currently at OCS and I just got the call from my OSM saying that I branched Logistics in the MS National Guard. I've heard that Loggy BOLC isn't too bad and if I don't do anything dumb, I'll be fine. My concerns are more post BOLC:
- What does the life of a Logistics Officer in the ANG look like month to month?
- I know guard's selling point is the "one weekend a month", but does that hold true for a 1st or 2nd LT in the ANG? I've heard conflicting answers regarding how much time you actually need to dedicate to your "one weekend a month" role in the army.
- What does the two weeks of training typically look like?
Any personal experiences or guidance would be a huge help! Thank you so much!
