We recently had a chat with an estate agent regarding renting a property for a year(Got his phone # through someone, a friend of friend). He didn’t allow us a viewing saying that the property is occupied currently but at the same time sent us a lease which has only the name of the landlord(the one we haven’t met nor have any scheduled meetings either) and lease has not mentioned the estate agent. And requesting us to send a security deposit to a third party bank account. Is there a way to verify or is this a common way of dealing now?
