Getting top surgery on 7th may 2026, in 5 days. Any last minute words of wisdom/ words of advice on what to bring with me to the hospital as I'm having an overnight stay (& been told it will be drainless with compression technique), words of advice on what I might need after surgery, and or words of support. For context, I was very scared about the general anaesthetic leading up to today, but I'm less so now although it still comes in waves alongside excitement, I just need the chest1cl3s to leave lol. Plus I'm AuDHD (Autistic+ADHD).
Anyways, leave them below so I can read them leading up to the 7th and for after the surgery on 7th, or after that day.
Edit - p.s. So far, I've got my post op binder (& a spare so the 1st one can be washed). My top surgeon is Mr Mellington at Nuffield Brighton (UK). If anyone wants to share anecdotes, I will not be offended by that.
