I’m about to start birth control for the first time. My periods have typically been very painful which is the main reason I’m starting it. Of course the added benefit of it is the pregnancy prevention.

I know that when your on the pill your hormones are suppressed which prevents you from ovulating and producing an egg. But I wanted to know if it also affects ovulation behaviour? Like when I’m ovulating I’m super horny, very affectionate and it’s very easy for my bf to turn me on. Will that stop now? Does the stopping of the hormones mean I won’t wanna have sex anymore?
