The seller sold it as not working, saying that the processor is defective. I negotiated a little and got it for $200. When I wanted to test it I saw the 24pin cable was not plugged in correctly. After I plugged it in it worked perfectly. The seller said it only had a 512gb nvme ssd, but in fact there was another almost new 512gb sata ssd in the back, next to the power supply

Specs:i7 9700kf

aorus elite b365m

16gb dual channel (2 different stick,one from adata,and one from xpg )

gtx 1660

512gb nvme and a 512gb sata ssd

650w PSU from cooler master cooler master cpu cooler and a brand new case with massive intake fan. W find?

A friend of mine gave me his GPU to try and fix it,an asus tuf dual fan 1660 super. He said that it will crash and freeze even in idle,so I thought it was overheating, which was for sure asummimg it didn't have all of the screw's and some of them were lose, and the thermall pads were non existent.

I repasted and used some proper thermall pads and the issue disastered! For 2 minutes and then it came back.

When I opened GPU z I saw something strange,it said 8gb of vram, which was weird because there was no 16 series gpu with more then 6,then I thought maybe the bios was corrupted or something and I reflashed it using nvflash

After that I opened GPU z again and it now said 6gb.I though that I finally did it,but no,still the same freeze after a minute or two

Also in divice manager code 43 appears

So basically Windows will freeze after you install the drivers, until then it's ok.

I think the he gave the GPU to someone to repasted and he forgot that vram needs thermal pads and applied this weird thing on them and the a vram chip got bad.Which imo makes sense since without a driver the GPU doesn't really use any vram, right?
