I know this is probably an overplayed topic, but I just got into Gone with the Wind (I'm not from the US, so I just now at my ripe old age of 24 discovered it). First movie, now I'm reading th a book and I don't really understand what Scarlett sees in Ashley.
I get the appeal of him, but not from her POV. Almost every passage that's actually about him (not just about how much she wants him), her thoughts are pretty much: Omfg, everything this man does and says and thinks it so freaking boring, I don't understand a single word and I'm not gonna try because it's so wildly uninteresting.
Like... If they ever actually got together, she'd go CRAZY.
Like I said, I know it's overplayed topic, but I unfortunately don't have anyone to talk to about this 😆
