Wasteland

I usually send 25 maxed out dwellers with dragons maws to the wasteland with 25 stimpacks and radaways, and usually when I get back on ~19 have returned to my vault because they filled up on items and the other 6 are dead. Is there any way to guarantee that a dweller won’t die in the wasteland, or is it just the luck of their encounters?

Synths in current Season

Spoiler tagged.

In mission 2 I talked the runaway synths into coming to my vault. I am labeling her as synth and going to attempt to breed with regular dwellers. I’m aware Nick Valentine as a synth can’t reproduce, will test if these synths are treated as true synths or as regular dwellers. Will update this shortly.

Update: Gen 3 Synths indeed can get pregnant and birth abominations. Are they half synth babies? Are they human? So many questions now

I was given the option to... heal the enemy?

an option for overseers who hate their vault dweller, I guess.

The “Kill 250 Enemies on Quests” bug remains unsquashed

Once again, the Experimental season is marred by a bug that’s been reported for the past three Seasons. The “Kill 250 Enemies on Quests” seaonal challenge simply does not register any kills on quests. This is now the fourth season this bug has appeared in. I’ve opened a ticket with Bethesda Support, but it doesn’t seem like there’s anyone actually fixing problems.

Running 2.4.1 on iPad Pro M5 under iPadOS 26.5.

Gettting into late game

Hello there! I now have 120 dwellers with average stats and would like to get to a nice late game. I downloaded the game after not playing for many years and iirc the method used to be putting 2 maxed dwellers without outfits in barracks, placing the children they get into endurance training and once they get 10 endurance, throwing them into the wasteland with E7 outfit until they get level 50, is it still like this? Also equipping the mother with a “+ child special” pet. I plan on evicting everyone I have right now after getting these maxed HP babies.

Can you still get the Boxer, Heavy Synth Armor, and Conrad Kellogg if you don't buy the $9.99 Season Pass?

I can't tell if the top row of Season Pass items are exclusive to purchase or if you can still get them without spending any money?

Am I weird for managing a vauld this way?

I have a few lists of names for six different cultures that I've been colecting for a long time (we're talking >4000 just English last names). I decide the culture at random and every dweller gets a random name of that culture. The first few dweller are considered the architects of the shelter and are usually members of some sort of government of the shelter (The government resides in the theme factory). Each dweller also gets a unique ID number like "52.2" where 52 would mean that this is the 52nd dweller to be my citizen and the .2 means that they're a member of the 2nd generation of dwellers. I keep track of everyone in a text document, that is: Everyone's ID and full name, how did everyone become a citizen (architect/born/radio/luchbox etc), who's parents of everyone who was born here, Who's trained what stats, who died on each day an why). I also have made a family tree in visio. Random old people (3 gens older than the youngest) gets kicked out the shelter (dying of old age) and if someone manages to have a kid with their relative (uncle-niece) the child is executed on the spot and the parents also have a chance to be treated the same way (coin flip for each)

Playing after 5 years. Very disappointed.

I was looking for a video game I could have running in the background while I did work on my computer.

I remembered I played this game after beating Fallout 4 ages ago, so I loaded it up and made a new playthrough.

It was a bit disturbing to see that it was precisely the same as when I left it.

The vault location was.... the same. The scenery was the same. The rooms were the same. Everything was identical.

I had thought because this game had "seasons" and on-going support that it would be more robust. Now, I'm wondering where has the developers put their efforts into.

The worst part is the game punishes me for leaving the game open.

I started a new game and quickly had about 10 dwellers.

I would leave it in the background and I noticed that there were incidents occurring so frequently that it was preventing all my dwellers from ever being above 50% HP.

I left my computer to brush my teeth, came back and two of my vault dwellers were dead.

I responded to the fire, then went back to brush my teeth. Two more died in a NEW event.

Now, I am left with so few dwellers, the entire playthrough is ruined.

The only thing new I noticed was in a Vault-Tec lunchbox, I got a card for someone named "Ma June." Researching this I learned she's a character in the live action series (whooptie doo).

I really don't remember the game being this bland and un-fun years ago. I also don't know why there aren't different types of vaults, different aesthetics, joinable factions, NPCs from previous games (why only Fallout 4 and live-action).

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I need to buy a DLC or maybe I didn't play long enough. I'm not sure. So far, this playthrough is done for and I'm not sure I'll make another one.

If anyone has any suggestions for alternative games. PLEASE let me know.

Enclave objective? Do enclave ever show up (in main vault, not experimental)? I’m not sure I’ve ever seen an enclave attack.. will they come? Want to delete this one, but what if the pet is the prize I’ve been hoping for? That being the continuous training…

Radscorpions and Mole Rats have totally ruined my game. Please help.

I don't know what happened, but all of the sudden in the last day Mole rats and Radscorpions have totally ruined my game. I'm about ready to quit they're almost impossible to kill before they wreak massive damage all over my base. I'd head a devil creature or something gets activated once your base hits 60 people so I've kept my base at just 58. But now, every time either of these horrible units gets released it just kills my base, my people, drains all y money.

Please help. I'm wishing I hadn't bought stuff for my map because quitting now feels like I wasted money.

Does canceling objectives make future ones harder?

Lets say I wanted to mostly go for pets or lunchboxes. Would canceling lots of objectives make things harder in the long run? I've only canceled once in my whole game so I don't know what happens if you cancel more frequently.

Thanks!
