Resignation advice

Hello everyone,

I gave my job a 4 weeks notice for resignation however the business wanted to terminate the date earlier.

I have a few unfinished crown cases which I have not yet cemented and the bosses will not let me come back to cement them.

They have mentioned that they will take over the case and will send images once they are complete. But I am unsure if they will send the images.

Is there anything I can do to reduce the risk of abandonment of treatment and I don’t know what would happen if things go wrong with the next clinician.

Is there anything that can go against me in legal terms ?

I am also on salary if that makes a difference.

Thank you in advance for any advice

Treatment letter from endodontist

I received this letter from an endodontist (not the one we usually refer to) regarding a patient of ours who went there due to him being in network with her insurance.

I feel bad crowning this tooth, as I feel his prognosis of “fair” is overly optimistic. I don’t want to throw him under the bus with the patient, but I don’t feel like I should just pretend everything is great either. He also maxed out her benefits so any restoration we do would be out of pocket for her.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Need advice: JCU Dentistry pathway for mature-age student

Hey everyone,

Just looking for some advice because I’ve been reading through the JCU website and I’m still a bit confused about the pathway and requirements.

I’m nearly 30 and trying to change direction career-wise. I have a Bachelor’s in Microbiology from an overseas university and I completed my Master of Food Science and Technology in 2020 (Perth). Right now I’m also studying an Advanced Diploma of Cosmetic Dermal Science.

I’m interested in getting into Dentistry at JCU for an upcoming intake and I’m trying to understand where I stand.

A few questions:

  • Does JCU Dentistry require GAMSAT or can you apply without it?
  • What are my chances considering my education background and age?
  • Has anyone here gone into Dentistry later in life with a similar pathway?

Would really appreciate any advice or personal experiences because I’m feeling a bit lost with all the information online 😅

Thanks!
