Need advice on having room mates

Hi! I’ll be having room mates for the first time. Yung isa friend ko, yung dalawa I found online.

I just want to ask any advice on how to keep a friendly and respectful environment. Here are some of my q’s

  1. I’ve been thinking kasi about the aircon/electricity usage. Ako kasi di talaga ako mapag aircon, pero it’s ok lang if the others would like to use theirs. Is it okay kaya to set a time when pwede open aircon and until what time lang?

  2. Cleaning stuff for the condo, okay lang kaya if we could all share to buy these stuff? (mop, walis, dish soap, sponge, other essential cleaning supplies, etc.)

  3. Isa lang banyo, so for sure magkaka conflict ang usage. Especially in the morning to shower before work. Okay lang ba if mag set ako time schedule ng mga ligo naming apat? Tas every week the schedule rotates?

  4. Pwede din kaya if I set up a whiteboard, tas naka schedule din every week ang paglinis ng banyo & shared living space?

  5. How about when it comes to stuff like water and rice? Individual ba or mas suggest ang hiwalay? Ayoko naman kasi maging madamot especially sa water. Like should we all just share ulit sa gallon ng tubig ganon?

Hahahha sorry! dami tanong! I’m really just a massive overthinker and I tend to overthink multiple scenarios in my head and try to find out solutions to all of them 😭

Anyway, if you have any other suggestions/tips/advices I would really appreciate it!

I’ll be renting a condo or apartment sana in San Juan City, I’ll be working near LHK Square Building. Ngayon I’ve been thinking of two options

Option A:
- Rent a place that is semi-furnished and is walking distance sa work ko, rent is usually at 18k-20k. May kahati naman ako, so I’ll be paying half of that.

Pros:
- Walking distance sa work, no need isipin ang commute
Cons:
- Mabigat masyado ang rent

Option B:
- Rent a place na medyo malayo sa work and just drive to and from. Usually nasa 11k-15k nakikita ko

Pros:
- Mas magaan when it comes sa rent
Cons:
- Driving to and from work might be hassle. The traffic plus yung gas.

Kaso I’ve been thinking kasi, baka mas makatipid naman ako sa option b? Or is traffic REALLY that crazy as everyone says it is?

Also, uuwi kasi ako every weekend sa Pampanga so like baka same lang din if I commute all the way back home or dalhin nalang kotse ko?

Badly need advice from people who live around San Juan. And also suggestions where I could find more places would be greatly appreciated as well!

Thank you!
